Something Changed Online...

The GWU status site address changed. I dont know if this matters but when i used my bookmark, it didn't work anymore, and I've used it for probably a month now. When i went to gwu.edu it linked me to a page that looks similar...but not really.

its sort of extra silver now if that makes sense... and now my applicant "term" is listed as 200803. strange.

plus, firefox made me input my username and password instead of having it memorized which means its a different page...

Yeah, i just logged on and mine says that too...

This is the email, good luck everyone

Yep! I just got that e-mail too. Best of luck!

This is it!

EDIT: hey, I haven't gotten an e-mail, even thoughn I use the same one I use to login to access the status check. Is this a bad sign?

EDIT2:literally as soon as I finished typing that my yahoo messanger popped up and told me I got the e-mail. Nevermind. phew

My son's says 200803 also. Hope this means something positive!! Good Luck everyone!!

I didn't get any email. Does that mean I'm rejected?

Wow I am very impressed... I spoke with an admissions counselor yesterday and she told me decisions would be online this Friday. They must of knocked out (or knocked in, i guess) a lot of applications within the last couple of days. I wish everyone the best of luck!

The email means nothing more than that they are posting their decisions tommorow. Everyone don't freak out.....

i find the 200803 thing very strange (i have it as well). It mite have to do with ED and RD or something like that.

i hope it does not mean (btw this is just a joke dnt take it seriously, some of you can get carried away):
01- accepted
02- waitlist
03- reject

yeah I have the 200803 term listed too. But I imagine the way it's listed is

200801 = spring semester (what GW students are in right now)
200802 = summer semester
200803 = fall semester (when we're applying to enter)

anyone who applied to start at a different date want to tell us what they see?

Im sorry, but that may be the most ludicrious thing i have ever heard in my life.... theres a common formula to the admissions proceeses: if you speculate too much, all you are doing is hurting (and wasting time) to yourself.

Why would they ever pair a term year with an admissions decision. Realistically, if they did it that way, it would be like Under Review 01, Under Review 02, etc..thats more of an appropiate spot to speculate, but its very far-fetched idea.

actually DCforME makes sence to me, but most ppl will apply for fall, making me think fall would be 01, it would be funny if they did that just to confuse us

yeah i'm thinking all this "number" business is bogus anyway... and i'm the one who mentioned it to begin with!

has anyone not recieved the email yet.? and if so, what are your stats?

my application says the same thing. 200803. Maybe it simply means the application term.. when we will be notified will be in the year 2008 (duh) the month of 03 ( march) .....

plzaccept, it's just sequentially. If someone applied to enter into the spring semester, it would make more sense to label their term as 200901, not 200802, etc. since they would never be in GWU during 2008.

I'm actually pretty confident that the trailing numbers signify the semester. It just makes sense as a logical thing to put under "application term."

The only other thing I could think of might be 01 = ED I, 02 = ED II, and 03 = RD, but I doubt it. Anyone who applied ED II want to note what theirs says?

I don't think it matters...

Daughter got an e-mail from admissions. Decisions will be mailed tomorrow and will be available on line after 5:00 P.M.
