I saw that a lot of people had their statuses updated, so I checked mine - no change. STILL said December 2008. Just out of curiosity (and wanted to make sure my school got my Mid Year in), called to make sure everything was alright... admissions officer said I had everything in, and that the status updates don't really mean anything. BUT, he ALSO said there was something in question about my application fee, so he gave me a fax number and told me to fax over either A) Proof that I paid or B) Credit card info...

JUST WEIRD to think that had I not called, I wouldn't even have KNOWN about this little discrepancy... I got the letters and emails saying "thanks for finishing Part I" and "thanks for finishing Part II", etc... and perhaps whatever happened with my application fee would've put me in the automatic rejection pile. Sadly, I can imagine that happening... they get tens of thousands of applications, and one with an incomplete app fee is probably not worth reading in their eyes.

I hope it isn’t too late, since I know some acceptances have already been sent out… if I get done in by this little mishap, that would be sooo bad!

“We have received your Part I and Part II applications and are preparing your file for review. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application.”

It doesn’t sound like what others have said their statuses say…? I’m so curious to know if this has hurt my app in any way… and how come I didn’t find out from them!!!

I’m pretty sure your status should’ve at least said “In review” by now.
I think most people have “In review” or some form of “We’ve received…”
Good thing you called! I hope everythings okay with my app :/

I don’t know about you, but I have learned that the status is not something to be trusted. I’ve already received my admission letter, but as of now my status is still “your application is incomplete”, which is awesomely funny. Maybe it’s cause I’m international? Some food for thought, and good luck with yours, I’m sure you’ll get in XD
