Something weird..

This one school (I will not mention the name) called me and asked me TODAY if I was a permanent resident in the United States. In other words, whether I had a green card or not.

I won't jump to final conclusions, but it seemed kind of weird that a school would ask me that the day before decisions...

If I said that I did have a green card, would that have sealed my acceptance?
If I said that I did not have a green card, would that have gotten me off the acceptance list, just because of that reason?

that is a very odd situation. I suppose you will have to wait a few hours to find out…

I think the paperwork would be different depending on your immigration status. Or it might be that they are trying to determine if you are an international student although it is awfully late to make that distinction at this point. Are you a full pay or FA applicant?

I am a full-pay applicant.

You’re in to whatever schools that called you. Congrats!

mpicz, what do you mean? That one call means that I’m in?

Well, it’s way more likely than not. I see no reason for a school to contact a reject one day before notification.

What school was it, our of curiosity? PM me! I’m dying to know! :P

And congrats!

What school geokid? PM me if you like.

i think you can say it. I dont’ think they’d change their mind just because you disclose this. They didn’t ask you for confidentiality did they?

I got accepted! from taft! =D

Comgratulations! geokid08…you’re gonna love Taft…
