Anybody agree? Where the "only" thing you worry about is what ribbon you're wearing to the ball? Man, I wish we still had royal balls like they used to, with their style of dancing and everything <3 That would be cool.

If simplicity is what you’re going for, I’d rather be a caveman.

If stylistic dances are what you’re going for, I’d rather be in a tribal group.

And if it’s royal balls?.. I’d rather be Cinderella. Ugh.

Yea. I don’t like Austen.

But in all honesty, I’d much rather live outdoors in the wild than in Austen’s little world.

Omg, I totally agree, I’m a helpless romantic ;)

You should watch The Jane Austen Book Club.
I loved it, and I’ve never even read any Jane Austen.

Provided, I did only watch the movie because Hugh Dancy is in it…

^^^ OH MY BOB!
great movie

i Love that movie, and Hugh Dancy :D

^^ You are my other half, I swear.

Wow fairy_dreams, you really hate her, eh? Well, it’s not even just about Austen, sometimes I want to live like that. Too bad that’s not how life is anymore =(

You know what? I forgot to mention what I want most- my very own Mr. Darcy-Rochester-Knightly. (Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Emma ftw) Too bad guys aren’t like that anymore.

Hmmm, that’s weird. I’ve read all of her books, but have never even heard of it. I saw the movie about her life though, it was so cute It had that hot actor in it, umm he was in band of brothers and penelope. I forget his name though.

I would enjoy the relative simplicity that exists in the world of Jane Austen novels, but I think I would tire quickly of the superficiality and the obsession with seemingly trivial matters. Plus, all of the annoying characters (Mrs. Norris, Lucy Steele, Mrs. Bennet, Isabella, EMMA!, John Thorpe ect…) would probably turn me into a murderer. All of her novels are great though! Jane Austen is amazing.

^ Are you a guy?!

Ughhh, John Thorpe. I loathed him. With my life.

I wouldn’t ! That’s why characters like [insert everybody you mentioned about EXCEPT EMMA:P here] are there, to make life interesting.

hey, i read jane eyre!
but i thought that was charlotte bronte…?

Yeah, it is. I’m just talking about the guy. And the lifestyle in general, not just Austen novels.

Oh ok…I got excited, like maybe i HAVE read jane austen!
but i havent.

Yeah I’m a guy…completely hetero and everything lol, but I can respect a good author and story when I read one.

And yeah, annoying characters are interesting on paper (I loved Mrs. Norris) but in real life, I can’t be as forgiving.

^ Hahaha thats amazing, the first guy i know that likes jane austen. awww sofie, im sorry for giving you false hope. lmao

You should totally start acting like the hero’s in your highschool, haha you’d be a ladies man :P

Hahaha, and dress like Mr Darcy, too.
That’s attractive.

I like Austen’s novels:> I haven’t seen the book club though:/ I have seen Little Women(I know it’s by a different author lol:)) I found that movie depicted a more simplistic lifestyle.

Well I guess any life is better than life in Canada. ;]

:O How dare you!

Actually, when I watch movies that are based in the states, it feels like it’s in Canada. I don’t know if you guys have been to Canada, but it’s pretty similar.

I think we can all agree that life in England is the best life :)

Haha gotta agree with you on the England part. I have been to Canada, it’s not bad, but ragging on it is just what I like to do :)

Did you see the post I made about “New Jersey girls not being trash; trash gets picked up” post and decide to pick on Canada from then on or something? :P

Because I didn’t say I OWNED the shirt, I just saw someone wear it.
