<p>He got all excited until hooked at the return address: Philips Exeter. They are recruiting him for math. I guess they wern't able to compute the addtion of 1 plus the two numbers after his name on the AMC list indicating he was in grade 11 last year and is now a senior. </p>

<p>Sorry , guys. I was a prankster in my day. But he really did get the envelope, and even though I knew it shouldn't be from Princeton, he never got one like that before. So now we're waiting for the second fat envelope.</p>
<p>I got a big envelope from Texas A&M and ripped it to shreds (sorry if that offends anyone)..but when will they get the picture that I'm not applying?!</p>

<p>texas a&M is a good school, zante. Texas A&M is def. #1 in school spirit and networking. ppl come up to you in restaurants and will pay for your meal if they see you wearing the aggie ring (no joke). their academics arent that bad either, its probably one of the better public high schools in the US ('specially if its for buisness or engineering)</p>

<p>zante~naw, i aint mad (you have to do something really dumb to make me mad) im just wondering why there is so much animosity toward A&M. philintex and bok are both from texas, but far enough from college station to not understand it. take it from the guy that lives here and interacts with students on a daily basis--A&M is a great school with so much diversity~even more than this ideal y'all call the ivy league. sure, you wont like some ppl, but by the pesimism and arrogance i sometimes see on these boards i can tell that i dont like some ppl at Princeton either. as far as traditions--sure, some of them are crazy, but thats part of the bond aggies share (one student once said "from the outside looking in, you cant understand it...from the inside looking out, you cant explain it").</p>
<p>To put it in perspective for y'all, i am a very recruited URM and, in the end, i only applied to two schools:
-Princeton University
-Texas A&M University
i will probably be happy in either one--although the latter would be absolutely free.
and, in the long run, what decides my future? me. not A&M. not Princeton. I determine my own success or failure. so..before you dismiss A&M as an "idiotic" school or start to make fun of dead aggies...please know what it is you are looking at.</p>
<p>a part of me will always be an aggie at heart...so yes, if you are dissing the school, you are dissing me.</p>
