i was looking for three types of songs:

1- something gentle, soothing, acoustic, like

"waiting for an angel" by ben harper
or "into dust" by mazzy star

2- some good, bouncy pop songs

i know there are people who roll their eyes at such bubblegum pop, but believe me,
there's nothing else like it during workouts or crappy mornings
well, for me, anyways

3- classic/orchestral pieces

any suggestion would be much appreciated
don't be afraid to mention songs that you secretly love but am afraid to post :P
i listen to miley during my morning runs, so yeah.
you get my point.
any song that you think is good will be
d-('ㅅ')-b

#1 would be anything by the Postal Service (specifically, ‘Such Great Heights’, ‘Nothing Better’, ‘Sleeping In’). And ‘Mouthwash’ by Kate Nash; ‘Parentheses’ and ‘True Affection’ by the Blow; ‘Chinese’ by Lily Allen; ‘100 Years’ by Five for Fighting. You may or may not like ‘One’ by Epik High. ‘Reason’ by Hoobastank, maybe.

#2 check out Yelle (French singer) but don’t look up the lyrics if you prefer PG-13 lyrics; ‘Pack of Cards’ by Social Studies is an excellent workout song; ‘I Get Around’ by Dragonette’; ‘Tribute to Ms. Lonely’ by Milkman is a pretty awesome mashup.

#3 just one: ‘Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence’, Ryuichi Sakamoto. Kind of. It’s along the same lines as what you were asking, I think.

wow, i’m listening some of these commendations right now, and they’re all pretty much incredible! thanks for the great songs! cc’ers have great taste :P

-Taylor Swift (If you’re fond of that type of upbeat music)
-The Killers
