Wait I actually have a really good one for this!

It’s from the play In the Heights. <a href=“Breathe - In the Heights (with lyrics) - YouTube”>Breathe - In the Heights (with lyrics) - YouTube; . This is sung by a girl who gets into Stanford and is praised by her whole neighborhood for being the one who finally got out and away from all of this. This song is right before she comes home to tell her parents that she’s dropping out. The whole song is basically her trying to calm herself down and “breathe,” but she’s just so fearful of seeing everyone’s disappointment.

It’s not a good song if you want to console yourself, but if you want something that you can truly relate to, this is it. I haven’t gotten any rejection letters yet, but my Yale decision comes out on Tuesday and I’m already preparing. Just like the character in the song is disappointing everyone through dropping out of Stanford, I’ll be disappointing everyone by not even getting into my college of choice
