I am accepted at all three and idk which one I should choose. (If I don't get into a private school) I will be majoring in biology.

I don’t know the definitive answer, but maybe this is an indicator of quality of biology department at Fullerton:

do you think I can get well prepared for medical school? (at long beach)

A college education is what you make of it. I think you should choose one that you could see yourself living at. If you don’t enjoy where you are living, chances are you won’t be learning a much as you could if you go somplace you really enjoy. Fullerton, Sonoma, and Long beach are all very different campuses and therefore have very different campus life. Have you visited all three campuses? Visting is really important so that you can get a good feel for the campus so that you can find oput which one is right for YOU! That’s just what I think… (most CSU’s will give you approx. the same quality education, it’s how hard you try that really matters)

I think you could get a great education at any of them. However, they are very different campuses. Long Beach is a huge campus in a very large metropolitan area. Fullerton is a smaller campus and I would say more of a commuter campus also in a metropolitan area. If you decide on Fullerton, be sure to apply for housing now if you haven’t already. They have an extreme shortage and you are not guaranteed housing. Sonoma St. is in the little college town of Rohnert Park. I believe it has about 7500 students. Class sizes are small. It is in a very scenic area, next to Santa Rosa and about 1 hr. from SF. Gorgeous beaches, hiking etc. Much more of a college town atmosphere. All good schools, but make sure you know what kind of atmosphere you are looking for. Good luck.

Like others have said, it depends on what you want to get from your college.

I grew up in Long Beach, but refused to go to CSULB because it is WAY too overly-crowded. It currently takes ~7 years to graduate (based on discussions with family and friends who are attending) because the classes are so impacted. It’s also a very ugly campus IMO…very institutional-looking. However, there is a lot to do in LB.

SSU is much more quiet and nicer to look at. (again, in my opinion…if you like the metropolitan look LB is for you.)

Be aware that if you’re not from LB, you might have issues making friends, as LB is definitely a large commuter school.

I’m also deciding between LB and Fullerton. Will be going into my upper division courses so hopefully my classes won’t be over crowded. I love the college vibe, unfortunately my grades weren’t good enough for UCLA and CAL, and the next best college is csulb and csuf.

Although it is heavily impacted, I think 7 years is a bit of exaggeration.

@bluek7- Did you apply to any mid tier UCs at least?

Im in at Santa Cruz and an Out of state private…
but I think Im going to use Long Beach as a back up plan.

Fullerton!
