sooner or later?

Is it better to transfer from a CC to a Uni when you only need 3 classes to graduate with an AA? Or is it better to just complete your 2 year degree and then transfer.

Here is my complicated situation, copied from another forum:

To graduate, I only need Geology 101, 102, 103.. it's a sequence (101 is only offered fall quarter, 102 Winter quarter, 103 Spring quarter.) Each class is worth four credits. Therefore, financial aid (grants) will only pay for 4 credits per quarter, which is not enough. I am not eligible for work study or loans either.

The problem is that I want to live in student housing with a meal plan. I have no family in this town. The cost of living in housing will be more than I can get.

There is a reason why I should stay here, and it is: I don't have to pay tuition. I am an editor for the school literary publication. So all I am worried about is books, fees and housing.

Apparently the college has a list of classes that are designed for students with this problem. Most of these "filler" clases are human development. I already registered for two of those classes, and I will see on Monday if it is a solution.

When I wrote that post, I was upset and I was thinking of going back to my home town, where I can live with family, and finish those geology classes there.

Nevermind…

Its always better to transfer sooner than later.

Even if you fail now, you can try again next year.
