I feel too awkward posting all of my stats here. But let's say I'm a decent applicant (in other words, one they would discuss before eventually rejecting/accepting; I am in the high end of their score bracket, etc.) to a top college.

Would a fundraiser (created and organized by myself alone) that raises $10,000+ for a local charity tip the scales in my favor? By a lot?

a UCLA admissions officer came to my high school and told us that their applications are now race-blind - and she said that a lot of schools are going away from looking into the race or ethnicity of applicants - so i’m not really sure if it would be a factor either way

I did the same thing last year, a raised about 15k for an environmental concert I organized. Now the school board allocated hundreds of thousands of dollars for some initiatives I am running. Sweet deals.
