Sooo the meaning of life is just= survive + reproduce

Ohh see, when you say fertility, I think of the capacity for childbearing, not necessarily the will or manifestation of said capacity.
I can see how more education leads to smaller families, yeah.

This is my purpose in life.

Sorry if I came off as condescending on my last post. My “well” was more like a “oh, well” and not “well guess what”.
Since everybody has the cognitive bias illusory superiority, everybody has a strongly biased viewpoint as they believe they are right. So there’s no point in debating anyways, we’ll both believe in the same viewpoint. Nobody knows the true meaning of life, or the afterlife  All just theories.

I"m guessing that it’s because educated people attract more attractive people than uneducated people do. Of course, they want healthy offspring that have good chances of producing offspring themselves, so that’s why it’s better to be educated. Theres a whole book on it called Sperm Wars. It can explain it much further detail than I can right now.

Btw I mixed procreation and reproduction. Considering today’s monogamous culture, the act of reproduction is a better goal than procreation, but subconsciously humans believe they are procreating. (Condoms are useful in today’s society, I think the brain still releases the good chemicals when you climax while subconsciously you think you are procreating  )

It’s cool. And yeah, this is the internet. We’re just having fun with this stuff, right? People also suffer from confirmation bias, where they ignore contrary evidence in favor of supportive evidence.

Well what about people who randomly donate to something or go to help a soup kitchen for 8 hours and don’t tell anybody? And what about people who are smart and childless?
Animals NEED to reproduce to maintain logistical growth, while humans have such a high population that if you don’t have children, that’s fine, but if you do, that’s cool too. Also, animals have INSTINCTS, not thoughts, so they can’t really go against their insticts - they have sex solely to reproduce.

A little bit of education makes you more appealing. Too much and you lose the will to make babies.

Kind of like how a strong immune system is usually good, but it can also aggravate certain illnesses.

@ma: That makes no sense. Children of educated people tend to grow up to also be educated people with small numbers of offspring. Reproductively, it is better to raise uneducated children who will tend to have more offspring.

^^ According to what I’ve read, barely finishing High School is golden fertility-wise. But when someone doesn’t go to college, we consider them losers. Why?

@thenerdyjew That’s a pretty close-minded view of animals, saying they don’t operate on thought.

and have fun!

Just as people are different, so too is the meaning of life. There is no set agenda for what the meaning of life is. It varies from person to person - so much so that you can not simply say “The meaning of life is _____________” and apply it to everyone.
