Sooo who else hates these threads?

Alright guys, I hate to do this, really, I do. It's time for another "chance me thread!"

I'll start by giving you lovely CCers a little backround information.

So I did rather poorly in High School. My grades were sub par and marginal at best. I think I finished High School with a 2.2 GPA, overall. I also never took the SAT reasoning test, as well as the ACT. I had the unfortunate pleasure of having a self loathing, dismal attitude towards school and life, as well as a drug problem. I am twenty two now and I am currently enrolled in Community College. Now, when I started Community College, I started out pretty poorly again, and lone behold, my GPA was terrible. So, after an upward trend I will end up having a 3.6-3.7(assuming I do well this Fall, which I definitely will). So with that being said will you fantastic folks chance me on the following schools:

Cornell CAS
Brown University

And for my STATS"
HS GPA: 2.2
College GPA: 3.6-3.7 range from my CC's Honors Program
SAT/ACT Scores: Not Taken
ECs: VP of the Political Science Forum, Writer for the school paper, President of the Creative Writing Club, published research in a junior academic journal, Internship for the Obama Campaign, currently working on writing a screen play,Phi Theta Kappa, Volunteering at the county library, painting.
Letters of REC: Should be outstanding works of art
Essays: Excellent essays specifically tailored for each school

My intended major will be Creative Writing with a minor in Film and Media Studies. I will also apply to some other safety schools, seeing as my two dream schools are very high reaches.

So I would love it if you guys could tell me what you think my chances are, or maybe offer some suggestions and or advice. It would be greatly appreciated!

What year are you in? If your aiming towards Brown I’m pretty sure you need an SAT score and you can still take it now.

I’m a sophomore, seeking transfer for junior status. Also, on the Brown website, it states that SAT scores are not required for transfer. It might be looked down upon though.

Make sure you apply to some safety schools. Brown is tough, you have a much better shot at Cornell, but there is never any guarantees in the Ivy world even for those with a 4.0.
