Sooo

How is high school going for you?

High school is actually going alright.

I feel kind of bad, though. Everybody says junior year is THE year where you're supposed to be super stressed with AP's and whatnot. Yet I still sleep at 10...perhaps I need to join more extracurriculars. Hum.

Junior year is going pretty crappily. I am worried about my lame grades....

In addition, being an officer of one club and an extremely dedicated member of Speech and Debate team has begun to take its toll. I find my weekdays grueling, especially Thursday nights. My weekends have also begun to be sacrificed to tournaments and weekend practices, as the debate season is now in full swing. On the bright side however, debate has become my outlet, so to speak. I really do love it with all my heart, and all the work I put into it is most definitely worth it.

I just want it to be over! It's senior year and while I'm sure it'll be fun, I'd rather skip the fun and leave high school already. Actually I want it to be the day after I take my last AP. That will be glorious.

My grades kind of suck right now. F in Physics (which isn't getting any easier) = not good.

^AP physics I presume? If you are getting an F, I would think you need to talk to the teacher!

I abhor my school with passion. Pretty good. :)

Argh. It's not the school I hate (though AP Calc is making my head hurt. Bad teachers suck.) It's my job and not having enough time to do my homework. I need at least three hours of 'chill time' between school and stating homework, and I don't get that until 10ish when I work from 4-8. Which means I'm up til twelve just to get half my homework done.

Buuuut I'm quitting in November. I just want to make a lot of cash first. :)

kirklandalanbob - Technically I'm in Physics H, but honors and AP are in the same class so I'm really doing the same stuff as AP is. In his class above a 30% is a C and above a 70% is an A. I guess I have around a C+/B- according to that, so I guess I'm not failing but I am.

I'm actually loving it! I'm taking full advantage of everything my school has to offer, doing everything I love (Ec's and courses) and tried out for the school play. I hope the rest of the year is just as good as the past month for me.

Did all you guys just start HS? Grade 9 is honestly, the most awesome year!!!

9th grade- Exceedingly easy and boring.

.-_-.

9th grade - Let lame be x as x as approaches infinity. No limit to x. :D

10th grade -- hard but not that bad as I thought it would be, yet thank God for interesting schedule.
APUSH is eating lots of time (LOTS OF TIME :( ), AP Lang is easy (haven't received any grade yet though :\ ); AP Calc is manageable. And AP Chemistry is my study hall for now :)
I'm feeling myself as sophomore and adult 8-)

AP Calc is manageable.

AP calc BC I presume? If you are going to skip years in math so much, might as well take the harder one

I'm a senior. I can't wait to get out of here.

I'm a junior taking 4 APs and 2 college courses. It requires an adjustment on my part from freshman and sophomore years, since I actually have to focus and manage my time for once (no APs and only 1 BS college course offered before junior year; I should have taken courses outside the requirements, but I didn't know any better until I joined this forum), but I shall manage.

Our school doesn't have AP Calc BC :(

Wow you guys have such hardcore schedules...

Here, APUSH/Lit H together or AP Chem/AP Bio are considered "hard" schedules already... I don't think I know anybody taking more than 3 AP's...(junior year)

Progress reports came out today. B+ in Lit H, B in APUSH. Bummer. I'm going to have to work harder (Summer Reading Test killed me in APUSH because I didn't summer read...oops :P)

It's unfair how everyone treats freshman like we're still in elementary school.

Senior year is stressful..applications, obviously, and I'm running like 7 things this year because I have a problem with saying no..
