Soooo....could I write an essay on this?

I love to sing, and I am thinking about writing my personal statement for the Common App on this topic, however, I don't sing in a chorus or anything (I do really want to do so in college though). Would this essay topic backfire on me in that colleges would wonder why I don't sing in a chorus if I love singing so much? The reason why I don't is that my school does not have a chorus, and I never got around to singing in a chorus outside of school, etc.
So would this still be a good essay topic?
thanks in advance!

Bump pleaseeeee!

Why didn’t you start a chorus?

Don’t mention things you regret you didn’t do.

I wasn’t planning on writing about regretting not joining a chorus, I just meant that they would see from the rest of my application that I didn’t.
And you can’t just “start a chorus” at my school

If your focus is on the joy you derive from singing for your own pleasure, chorus shouldn’t be an issue. This is your personal statement, go for it. Don’t try and package yourself for what you think they want, may think ect. Not everyone who loves to sing has to be in or start a chorus.
