Okay first question, I’ve applied to four Ivy’s; UPenn, Columbia, Cornell, and Brown. As a transfer student how likely is it to get into these universities? I have a cumulative college GPA of 3.467, I’m in the honors program at my current college and the majority of the classing I’m taking are 300 level. I also have a high ACT cumulative of 29, with a two scores of 32 in English and Reading. Is there any possibility of getting into those schools with only a 3,467 GPA?
Second question, the deadlines for the schools I applied to were around a month ago, I submitted everything on time, except for my schools College Report and Midterm Report. Since they are so past the deadline will they factor into my acceptance decision?
Thanks for any responses!
The chances of transferring into an ivy with those stats is probably not gonna happen, sorry. Ivys take very little transfers as it is, and those they do accept have a near perfect GPA in hard classes, really high act score, solid ECs among other things.
If those are the only places you applied to, I would recommend looking for some matches that have transfer apps open until april/may/june. I don’t mean to be mean or anything, I just don’t want you to get your hopes up and end up without a place to go in the fall.
