Is anybody in the School of Professional Advancement or School of Continuing Studies majoring in computer science? Is this the same as the coordinate major program and if not how do they compare? Also what are the pros and cons of attending SoPA/SoCT in general?
Can’t really answer your question but we had a very difficult time getting much information about the computer science program last year - even while ON campus. Super frustrating.
Thanks for the response, while I’m sure it’s a good program I don’t think it’s viable for someone pursing a career in computer science. Do you by any chance know how SoPA/SoCT are for someone looking to major in finance? I know there’s a cap of 13 credits per term, would this get in the way of completing all the courses necessary for a finance major? Also are SoPA/SoCT classes at the same time as full time students or are they only in the evening?
SoPA is a program for adults who are looking to advance in their careers, its not a full time program for freshmen. You wouldn’t be part of the freshman class or have the ability to participate in the activities for undergrad students or to obtain on campus housing. Most classes are weekends and evenings or online to meet the needs of working adults.
