Sophie Davis 2018 Interview

Hi everyone! Sophie Davis is my absolute dream school and now that the deadline has officially passed (today)! I thought I’d start a thread this way those of us who are applying could communicate with each other and everyone can post when they’re getting called in for interviews and etc. Also, any tips on interviewing from those who have interviewed at Sophie and been accepted in the past would be super appreciated! Best of luck to all who want to go Sophie!

Hi! i have also applied and i am so nervous it is one of my top schools!

Hey! I just submitted my application as well. Good luck to you all!

Do you know how to check the application status? When should we expect their response?

Their site says you can check the status on your VIP page, but I don’t think that will tell you anything. You just need to wait to see if you get contacted for an interview.

My interview for SD is next week. Does anyone have insight on what type of questions they ask?

@abcde12344321 when did you hear from SD? And how?

I heard from them three days ago by email

@abcde12344321 I am told the interview is about 3 hours long. You will meet with 1 student and 2 staff members. I have heard they will spend a bit of time on your essay responses, so make sure you remember everything.

Please come back and let us know how it went after your interview.

Good luck!!!

Anyone OOS heard back from Sophie Davis?

does anyone know when sophie dayis stops giving out emails for interviews?

Do you have to be accepted into CUNY before getting an invite from Sophie Davis for an interview?

@HariVayu No I do not believe this is the case, you just would have needed to have applied to CUNY before the deadline.

@SchoolisOut Thank You.

To those who have had interviews already: What was the format (questions, duration)?

My son is still waiting to hear from Sophie Davis. Does he still chance to hear from them? Anybody knows?

My DD hasn’t heard back from them either! Does that mean a rejection?

I had my interview today. My best advice would be to be personable and likable. From my experience today, they want to bring in people who aren’t just studious but have interests that lie beyond medicine as well.

As far as I know, they end their interview sessions around Mid-March

How many people are they interviewing/accepting? For those who are interviewing-be sure to ask the number of people applied/interviews/acceptance
