I was interviewed in the last week of March, I don’t think it’s rolling to be honest. Does anyone have info on housing? I’ve heard mixed reviews of the Towers…

I received my email this afternoon and I had my interview the very last day, March 25th.

well - looks like i got rejected - but to all those that got in, special congrats and good luk in all ur future endeavors.

My interview was February 23rd. Logistically, it’s easier to get in if you’re interviewed earlier only because you’re compared to less people at the time. (Committee meets every Friday). It’s probable that the acceptance pool is constantly reexamined with each admit.

congrats to all those who were admitted!
what time did you receive the email?

4:14 pm (edt)

looks like there is no hope for those who didnt get the email … what a waste of my time applying.

Please fill in as many as you can.

can’t wait to meet all of you!

Best of luck to everyone in their future endeavors, I’m sure we’ll all end up successful doctors, at Sophie or not.

Does anyone know where to buy sweatshirts/T-shirts? I saw some students rocking them at my interview, but the CCNY store doesn’t have them. Anyone?

Hey IS2SophieD, can’t wait to meet you either, although I already know you, lol. I’m such a loser, so sorry!

@satatam: my interview was held in the 3rd week of March, but i guess no email=no acceptance =/

i just called the sophie people and they just said pretty much all acceptances were emailed out yesterday. but she also said there may have been a glitch in the system so to just wait for the mail itself before getting upset. so hopefully, we’ll get acceptances in the mail :/

So does that mean were not getting anything today from sophie?

^i guess we can wait for the actual mail? I don’t know but my hopes are kinda down from this already. good luck though for those like me out there!

i just called and she said all of the people who were accepted allready recieved an email yesterday soo that means all of us who didnt werent accepted! this sucks :(

=[ i guess i’ll have to take the traditional route of becoming a doc. farewell sophie davis, farewell.

If anyone who got accepted does not plan on going please call them asap and let them know. I was chosen as an alternate and it is my first choice school.

Decision: Waitlisted… “Alternate’d”

Objective: Sat I (700M 760 CR 750W)
ACT: 33
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): idk, i have a 93 w… sorry!

Subjective:
Volunteer/Community service: alright. I have plenty of hours but none of them are health related.

Essays – worst problem facing USA: amazing, ok, and terrible (wrote it in half an hour). Actually my third interviewer commented on how much she loved my essays.

Interview: 2 great ones, one not-so-good one. Interviewer went off on a tangent before grilling me about why I never volunteered in a health related organization. Then he asked me why I wanted to be a doctor… Don’t think I handled that too well :s

I just sat there awkwardly as he ranted against the catholic church’s discrimination towards gays… Nice guy, though. I think the fact I didn’t volunteer at a hospital really brought my chances down.

Ethnicity: Filipino, Asian

Gender: F

Why you think you were waitlisted:

I didn’t get in because:
the interview that didn’t go too well
the essay I rushed on
my lowish average.

I didn’t get ouright rejected because:
High SATs and ACTs
Two good interviews.
One great essay.
I’m assuming the recs were pretty good.

General Comments: SD wasn’t my original first choice, but if I get chosen to attend in May, I will most definitely attend… Staying on the waiting list. TBH I expected outright rejection.

^ were you emailed about the waitlist? I haven’t received anything yet =X
at this point i don’t even mind getting a letter of rejection.
