I actually sent my application in the day before the deadline. Do not worry they are giving out interviews up until mid march. They told me on the first of February and I had my interview today.

@egyprince… I was then sent a letter in the mail.

I have my interview tomorrow for Sophie Davis and I applied the day before the deadline as well

How did the interview go? DETAILS!! lol cuboundscholar and dance459, what were your stats?

egyprince, I wouldnt give up hope. I think the timing of interviews is random.

Do people want to post their stats?

Yes, how were the interviews? I have mine Wed morning…

Study ur essays really well for the interview

How did the interviews go? Should I be worried if I wasnt notfied yet?

same question^

Anyone else get an interview? How did it go?

As a current SD student, here is an general idea of interview atleast when I made it 2 years ago.

3 Interviewers
- Student who tries to calm you down and just have a general chat with you. This is a very relaxed interview.
- Professor who mostly talks about your essays one by one. Make sure you review everything you said in essays. I printed a copy of mine, and brought to interview just in case, this allowed me to review you on my way to SD one last time.
- Another professor or administrator who further asks a bit about essays, and why doctor, why SD, why primary care, etc. Depending on who you get as interviewer, sometimes you feel pressure here. I remember I was asked multiple times how I can be sure, and I said I cant be truthfully but how can anyone be sure of such decisions. Also they pressured me about primary care making so little money, why would you want to do it, and I replied that if I wanted to make money, I would go to Finances, and Wall Street.

So really know your essays and why you want to come to Sophie Davis. You will be asked why Sophie Davis over traditional way, or something along those lines, and what field of primary care, how can you be sure of decision, etc, etc. Just be engaging and ask questions also. My favorite is to ask their stories, and why they teach their, why they became a doctor, etc.

Best of luck, hope you all do well.

Also you should not be worried, they interview till end of March, I got my interview towards the end, like last week or two of interview.

I received my interview letter yesterday (02/19) & my interview is next Tuesday (02/26).
I’m a little anxious and excited all in one.

Scrubs, good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes.

Lol the number views on this thread are hilarious. Sophie Davis was built for URM, binds you to primary care, and is not in the best of neighborhoods. What’s up with all the interest lol

Satrocks - the number of views show that it is still a solid place to go to and one of its kind in the country.

It might have been built for URM, but anyone can apply, and it doesnt bind you to Primary Care, that is the idea but you are free to choose what you want when you apply for residency. After completion of your residency, Sophie Davis sees what you did and if it was not Primary care, then you pay the fee. Lastly there are plenty of great schools in not so good places, like Yale for example. Walking through Harlem reminds you of the social determinants of health itself and why you want a doctor, even if you dont plan on going to primary care.

Hey my loser friend posted that previous comment. please disregard it lol

Anyone else have interviews?
