212, went up to 220 as a junior and a 2300 on the SAT on my first attempt.

Halo? I love Halo 3 thats all I play only on Fridays and Saturdays tho
I got a 202 PSAT (68 CR, 64 M, 70 W)

For my standards, I did horribly. I got 208. My aim was 235+. Ahh, whatever… It was technically a Practice PSAT (a PPSAT?). I took it over Christmas vacation, and I’ve never practiced. My counselors and teachers think I should be able to do better on the SAT.

???

You took your PSAT over Christmas vacation? How did you do that?

Sophomores who did well on their PSATs, who want to score high for junior year (to possibly make NMSF)…

It may be a good idea to sign up for the June SAT and pay the extra for the detailed score report. Then, you’ll be able use that info to work on any weak areas to prepare for junior year PSAT. :)

DouglasW,

You might want to calibrate your aim more accurately.

Besides a practice, is this useful for anything else for a Sophmore? My S scored 230 without prep.

210 sophomore year (63 CR + 74 M + 73 W), 216 junior year (72 CR + 71 M + 73 W).

@ dragonboy: PSAT’s aren’t significant at all, and in sophomore year the only thing they are used for is practice. In junior year, they’re used for practice and qualifying for NMSF status. Colleges won’t even see prospective applicants’ PSAT scores. That said, congrats to your son - if he were a junior, that score would make him a NMSF, even in the most competitive states like Massachusetts. Tell him to keep up the great work! :)

I want to know my score so badly!

Broke my hand the day before, took the test left-handed - 193 :(
