I am a freshman the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
I am involved in three clubs and have a leadership position in one.
I plan to have a pretty solid GPA this semester and the next (possibly around a 3.6-3.8)
Do I have a good chance of getting into the business honors program at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas?
I am also a Texas resident and graduated at the top 7 percent of my high school class if that means anything.
Probably not. Why would you want to transfer from wharton anyways? It’s one of the best business schools in the world, just stick it out and profit.
Depending on how well you write your essay, you probably have a decent chance. However, the admissions office might be confused (as I am) of why you want to transfer from Wharton, and why you didn’t just go to McCombs in the first place (I am assuming that since you were an automatic admit, you applied to UT for freshman admissions).
