Sophmore Transfer to USC

Just wanted anyones opinion..if its credible..

I began taking courses this past summer..and plan to apply for spring at USC in 07, after I finish Spring,Summer, and fall 06 here at Saddleback. I will have about 32-26 transferable units.

I left/dropped out/ escaped... High School, and got my GED at 16.// 23 now.

What do you guys think?

Do I need more CC under my belt? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Especially from you gabe ;)

After 30 units, the admission committee will focus mostly on college performance, however, the USC transfer booklet recommends at least 3 semesters to those who didn't do well in high school (or haven't been in school for some time I'd assume).

Avg. accepted GPA is 3.57. Best of luck :)

I'm kinda in the same boat...

I did horrible in HS (2.4) and my grades have gotten increasingly better during my two full semesters at a JC with a 3.5 (would have done better if not for a bout with bhronchitis and a near fatal car accident) and a 3.8 this semester. I plan on taking 18 credits next semester and do you think it'd help me if i had each of my professors send the school a mid semester grade report or is that doing too much?

Goldenjet what semester are you planning on transfering into? I have yet to find out the application deadlines for spring 07

I'm looking to get admission for Fall 2006 but would be more than happy with being admitted for the spring 07 term (even though it means a few extra months in Jersey).

I don't think that there is a dead line for spring transfers. I think you'd be asked to apply for the fall 06 term and from there the admissions people will decide to offer you fall admission, spring admission, or rejection. I'm not sure about this so maybe someone who has more knowledge on spring transfers can shed some light on it.

well good luck to you my friend we will have to stay in touch to see what happens. my aim is ijflexi
