I am thinking about taking
APUSH
AP Eng Lang
AP Chem
Other coursework are Honors PreCal and Spanish.
Is it too much?
I am currently taking 2 AP econ classes.
Thanks.
I can’t speak for ap lang, but I’m currently taking apush and ap chem. AP chem is very time intensive and it was particularity hard because I didn’t take chemistry before. But, hey I’m still surviving. You may want to account fot that if you haven’t taken normal chemistry. I found apush on the other hand, to be very easy and interesting, due to a good teacher and barely any homework. I think taking ap chem and apush will be okay. Although, I have heard ap lang is very writing intensive as well as apush is. It’s all dependent on your school, though. Be sure to ask upperclassmen and see what they think.
LOL. As well it should be.
Very valid advice, as the workload is highly dependent upon the teacher.
As for whether it is too much? Well, that depends upon the individual. Although I do not understand the rationale of taking AP Lang as a sophomore. Unless there are interesting Senior electives in English, why rush the curriculum. Similarly, I’d personally suggest getting a year each of bio/physics/chem out of the way before tackling an AP science (or at least wait double up on science as a junior).
Does your school offer any Honors Chemistry class? If so, I suggest you take that first rather than just jump straight into AP Chem. You’ll definitely need the foundation of Honors Chemistry if you want to do well in AP Chemistry (learning it from experience as of right now).
Thanks. I finished honors Chemistry.
Yave you t Ken honors physics or Physics1? That would be a better choice, leaving AP chem for junior year.
If you don’t take APUSH, do you have an AP history/social science you could take? (At many schools, APUSH is a junior class and you may want to take it with friends). If not, it’s often considered very hard, with lots of reading s and writing.
If you take AP Lang sophomore year, what will you take junior and senior year?
