Sophomore in HS

Anyway, I'm freaking out over colleges and I just need to get some clear answers before my head explodes. Here are my classes/ grades:

Freshman Year: 3.8 GPA ("Enriched" classes are the same as honors level classes, but they aren't weighted. School is gay)
English 1/ A
Spanish 2 Enriched/ A-
Geometry Enriched/ A-
Biology Enriched/ A-
Global Studies (History)/ A
Introduction to Bus./ A
Digital Imaging/ A
Gym/ A

Sophomore Year: 4.2 as of now
English 2 Honors/ A- (B+ now)
Spanish 3 Honors/ A- (B+ now)
Chemistry Honors/ A (A- now)
AP US History 1/ A- (A- now)
Algebra 2 Honors/ A (A- now)
Intro. To Programming/ A
Accel. Accounting/ A
Gym/ A

Junior Year: Classes I will most likely be taking
AP English 4
Physics Honors
AP US History 2
AP Calculus AB
AP Bio/ AP math elective idk yet
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
Gym

That's as far as I know

Other miscellaneous data:
Varsity Tennis freshman year, most likely all 4 years as well
Captain of vars. tennis most likely senior year, possibly junior year
FBLA member, 4 years
Made regionals (maybe more) sophomore year for intro to bus.
Plan to volunteer at a hospital my junior and senior year
Got a 770 on Bio SAT II, this year taking SAT II for chemistry, math 1 and possibly english
member of ping pong club! haha, not too many clubs

Okay, so what's the question? Interested in a particular college or two?

Not to get all politically correct on you... (except that I am), but please please don't use "gay" as a derogatory term.

I'm not really sure what your question is, but you seems to have good stats so far... work on your community service. You guys get 8 periods! Lucky! We only get 6.

I agree. Never use any reference to homosexuality in a derogatory manner. By the way, society didn't always have such a negative view. "Homosexuality," Plato wrote, "is regarded as shameful by barbarians and by those who live under despotic governments just as philosophy is regarded as shameful by them, because it is apparently not in the interest of such rulers to have great ideas engendered in their subjects, or powerful friendships or passionate love-all of which homosexuality is particularly apt to produce."

Anyway...weighted grades are kind of useless, and not all colleges look at them. I'd say, though, that if you get some more high SAT scores, and involve yourselve with the community more (DON'T WAIT UNTIL JUNIOR YEAR...TRUST ME, THIS IS A MISTAKE), you'd have a shot at almost any college. Hope this helps.

Your a sophomore... relax... enjoy your high school years

So far, you look good, but you can't judge anything by freshman and sophomore year.
The next two years will be the hardest, and you can completely ruin everything you've worked for.
haha just being realistic here =)

Make sure SATs are high and what not; Weighted I say isn't NOT important, weighted is mostly for rank if your school has rank and rank CAN be important because it puts your position in school and what not compared to the others in your school.

ur a sophmore, dont project ur stats...

School can't be gay...it just can't. Well, you could personify it, but you did a horrible job. A person, or a couple, could be gay, but let's try not to be too derogatory. Amend your title to "Sophomoric in HS"

lmao nice one!!!

haha... that was wonderful

Sorry for offending anyone, it was late and I don't know what I was thinking for the most part.

Anyway, what should I work on? I was thinking of schools like UPenn, Dartmouth, Duke, Cornell. Rutgers is probably going to be one of my safety schools, and Princeton/ Harvard/ Yale is a dream, but I doubt it.

Try for Cornell or Duke. They're the ones that accept the most and.. let's just say aren't the strictest (as in they accept quite a few) of schools. But if the opportunity arises for something better, always take it.

hopkins/cornell/duke seem possible matches
