Sophomore In-State Transfer - Chances

I am currently attending UNC-Wilmington and earned a 3.52 GPA during my first semester. I took 15 hours and had all A's and one C in math. I'm a political science/History double major.

My HS record was average earning a 3.5 GPA weighted and 1180 two part with a 650 in Critical thinking and 530 in Math.

I am hispanic and a first generation college student here in the United States.

Please let me know what you all think.

Thanks!

I think as a sophomore transfer, chances aren’t too great. For sophomore transfers, they still look quite closely at your high school record (which I don’t think would have gotten you accepted out of high school).

I think if you get your GPA up a bit and apply as a junior transfer, you’ll have a great chance. :)

Yeah I believe myself to be very borderline. I am still going to apply though and give it a shot. I think a great essay may push me over the threshold.

Yup, definitely. No harm in applying  Good luck!
