Sophomore in Trouble

Hey im a sophmore at a very competitive public school in New Jersey. As of right now, i have a GPA of about 3.0. I really am looking into going into business and really want to go to a good school. My number 1 school would be NYU. I am in 2 clubs (Mock Trial and Filmmaking) and i have been volunteering at many different places since 7th grade. Next year, Im going to be in many honors courses but no AP :(. Next year, I will be in about 5 clubs and hopefully will get good grades. On my PSATs I got a 189, so whatever that means. I just took a SAT II on bio and think I got 650+. Is there anything more I can do?

Take some aps, dont over do it, but take a few in your hs career..

Raise the GPA, 3.0 is kind of low

Have a good sat score....above 1300 and whatever that is on the new scale....

get some leadership position in your clubs.....like president or an officer or whatever.....

What is your rank??? get at least to the top 25%.....

Rather than club grubbing- scraping whatever leadership etc you can get, try to focus on what you love and really excel there. Serious accomplishments in a couple of areas that show passion and drive are far more impressive than transparent "leadership" across the board.
In short, don't fake it, focus.

Hahahahaha good luck...
