Sophomore SAT Questions

I am a sophomore in high school and am taking the March SAT 2015. I have been prepping for this SAT for 9 months and do not want to take the new SAT.

  1. Have any colleges released their policies on accepting old SAT scores? Most people in my class will be taking the new SAT. Will it be fine to only send old SAT scores?
  2. When should I send score reports to colleges?

You will probably get a higher score on the new on as a jr than now. If you do take it, and I don’t think it is a great idea, don’t send scores till sr year. Sorry I don’t know the college policies if they have ones yet.

@BrownParent - can you share the basis of this comment? I find it surprising. The OP has studied quite a bit for the existing test and that studying will not be fully applicable to the new test. I think there’s some reasonable chance that the March test could be the OP’s best score.

Get a 2400 on the old test and submit it as the new one. lol

Or get a 1600 on the old test and impress people in the future.

  1. I'm sure that colleges will accept either format of the SAT.
  2. You send the scores during your senior year when you are applying to colleges.
