Sophomore Schedule..is it good enough?

Hi guys!

This is my first post on CC, even though i've been visiting this site for awhile now. I already created my sophomore schedule, but I have changed it numerous times over summer vacation. I was just wondering what others have to think about it. My school is a very small public school, my class has about 100 students. The classes above me have about 70. Since my school is so small, there aren't a lot of AP classes offered. I plan on self studying about 4, just because I enjoy learning (the classes at my high school are not challenging enough) and I would like to show how dedicated I am to my studies. I plan on taking 1 online (the online classes get very bad ratings...)

SO here it is :)

AP Government
Honors Chem
Honors Algebra 2
Honors English 3
Honors US History 1
Honors US History 2
Honors Spanish 3
Gym/Health
Self Studying: psychology, world history, euro, comp sciences

Thank you for your input! :)

That’s very good. If that’s the best your school offers then colleges won’t hold it against you. I go to an extremely small school in rural PA and we only have 2 APs. Why are you taking English 3 though?

Where do you take AP exams if your school doesn’t offer the class?

Thank you, and wow it feels good to relate to someone :). My bad on typing, English 2 and I have yet to sort out where exactly I can take my APs. I was thinking neighboring high schools that offer these courses perhaps?

I’m glad you have initiative! I’d really suggest taking AP American History instead of Euro, as you are taking American in school. AP world history has a lot of content so I don’t know if you want to study that, but definitely don’t take all 3 histories together. The rest of your APs should be pretty manageable.

Thank you! And I would deff take AP American, but that course is offered in 12th, and i figured it would be wise to wait, so I can take the actually course and learn the writing layout. I was suposed to be taking AP Euro as a class, but it interfered with my spanish, so my compromise was self studying euro :)

I think that’s great, colleges will see that you’re making the best out of what is offered to you.
