Sophomore Standing Possible?

<p>I found the AP conversion chart on their website and I've racked up 70 points from all the AP's I've taken in high school. Is there such a thing as sophomore standing at NYU for a freshman? What can I do with those 70 points (do they let you place out of courses or do they merely bump you up to a higher level?)?</p>

<p>It's just I've heard that taking AP's in high school supposedly saves you money in college...is that still the case now?</p>

<p>It saves you money if you can skip a year, but not if you are still taking 32 points a year.</p>

<p>yea you can do that...my brother thought he was going to go there and do that...but then the shcool he was waitlisted for came through so he never did it</p>
