I keep researching but can't seem to find good summer programs for sophomores. Any that include science is great and a stipend would be even better though.

Cornell's Nanobiotechnology Internships, but it is extremely competitive, about 10 accepted from about 900 applicants.

There are few programs for soph, many more for jrs.

Well there's TASS which is not research based but offers a seminar in medicine and offers a stipend of 500$ plus full scholarship room, board, and transportation. Not sure the admissions rate but I'm thinking it's somewhere between 20%-50%.

NIH also has research with stipends but you must be sixteen to participate.

SUNY Stonybrook I think has a research program available to high school sophomores.

SSP (summer science program) may allow sophomores.

Syracuse University Summer College admits sophomores. Syracuse University Summer College for High School Students

I've applied to the Cornell, Page program, Drexel research, governor's school program, and Iowa university so far

I thought Drexel was only for 16 and over, are you a rising junior then?

yep but sophomore when i applied

Search locally as well! I was going all round the country looking for opportunities and there is an extremely selective, paid internship right in my backyard!

If you are near California, you might also try Standford which has a medical program but no housing..

^ Yeah I looked at that but I'm all the way in the east coast and have no family in the west so no housing. It was a good opportunity though
