if your interested in sort of medically related stuff, you should really look into it because its pretty cool.

HOSA sounds interesting. I think I'll look into it.

Long Live Class of 2010, yay :))
when I saw this thread, I was really excited though.
My soph year is not a big deal, all Hons, no AP at all. It's sad though, cause I had some troubles with my schedule and it came out like that. But I am going to take 6 APs the next 2 years, cause I've already finished Economics and will finish US Gov in the summer. Don't have to take these classes in my senior year anymore ^^ I heard all the seniors complaint about these two after they have gone through several APs. haha
Anyway, besh wishes to all 2010-ers :))

Regionals is this friday.
What do you compete in?

Any of you guys play any sports too?

My soph year has been quite interesting... Back during football I completely tore my ACL, PCL, MCL and meniscus. I had surgery on Dec 21 a little over a month after I finished the season after having sat out two weeks, and played in the last three.

As for academics, I'm looking forward to my APES class and getting pre-calc out of the way. Unlike all these high achieving schools you guys go to, I was actually told not to take Pre-Calc this year, and wait until my Jr. year.

Blasphemy I say though, it's unfair to me I think because I want to bust my butt and get into a good college, whether its by football, wrestling, academics, or a combination you know?

Woot! Class of 2010

'10 yessss

curious, but wat specific classes do you take?

xinyoureyes, by regionals, do you mean area?

ours was yesterday and today and i'm going to state! i thought i did pretty well but i was pretty nervous during the awards ceremony though. can't wait for state, even though i doubt i can get to nationals this year.

yay! im back after my period of ban

OK, here's a question for you guys:

How should I go about handling the over-competitive, jealous types who ***** about me behind my back just because I do well in something/beat them in a test? I've been ignoring it for the past year or so, but now it's really beginning to peeve me...they act all pally-pally in front of me, but behind my back...

^ same situation as me. I guess the best situation is just to ignore it since they can't do more behind you than to talk badly about you.

Unless you're in the US, where anything can happen.

Hehe no, I'm not in teh US :)

hpa10 : yeah, that's what I meant. what are you competing in? I'm in medical spelling, haha dork :D
But congrats on making state!

Tetrisfan, I am in a very similar situation as you. This girl acts super nice in front of me but I know her true intentions (I've seen her glare at me, not include me in things purposely, tried to show off in front of me, etc). Even though it sucks big time, my advice is just to stick it out and try to not let it get to you. I've been dealing with this girl for a year and a half and I just sometimes need to take a few deep breaths and pretend to "reciprocate" the super-nice act. Because to others it seems like she isn't doing anything wrong to me in particular, if I start to act mean to her, it is going to look like I'm the bad guy. So I just go on everyday and try to tell myself that it could be worse, and try to ignore the whole bad side of her. Although, it can get pretty tough sometimes. Just try to take it one day at a time. Hope that helps...
