Sophomore Thread

What sports are people on here interested in? This year I wrestled, took 4th at state, then played basketball and baseball on crappy teams... but I was just wondering what other sports people on here did?

^nice, but i know nothing about wrestling. im a runner (cross-country). i would do track too, but im injured right now.

Swimmer, though not very serious at all. Pretty much gave it up to focus more on school and having a social life. Don't regret it at all.

Next year...my first AP class! Still only 1, and I think I'll only take...2-4 by the end of high school (I'm not the typical CCer, can you tell?), but I'm still excited and a bit nervous.

oh and sports-wise i'm doing soccer, swimming and track

I row on the crew team!!!!

aaagh march is scheduling month and it's making me FREAK OUT b/c i don't know if i'll be able to handle 4 APs (calc ab, chem, APUSH, spanish). i hope i will be able to get more than 4 hours of sleep a night next year.

2010!!!

I'm nervous for next year.... :/

I cant wait for next year!

all college classes here I come!

I'm taking 5 AP's this year -_-

would it be weird if i dated a sophomore? i'm a senior girl. i'm 17, he just turned 16.

eek.

^ just a little weird (imo). but hey, if you like him, then go for it.

I run track. Practice every day at 10 starting the 17th for the rest of spring break. This sucks.

Dunno about weird, but how long do you think this relationship will last? Your going off to college and the guy is still enduring sleepless nights trying to study for the SATs.

On a different note, I now know exactly what I'm taking next year. I dunno if I should be ecstatic, or treasuring every hour of sleep I get.

^treasure the sleep. the year went by so quickly though, it's almost april already, and my first ever ap exam is coming up pretty soon too.

Mine is too! my school only offers one AP for sophomores, euro. im really nervous about the exam.

im taking the us history exam. im hoping for a 5, but i will be happy if i get a 4.

I'm tking calc ab, stats, govt, english, and art history. Our school promotes lots of APs sophomore year....

my school only allows one. ^ did you take any freshman year?

has anybody here taken the sat yet? if not, when do you plan to take it for the first time?

I'm taking it this June. Took the ACT last October, though.

I'm probably taking it next fall

Hey everybody! lol
Yeah public schools in MO pretty much suck lol
Out of the 2000 students (total student body, all 4 grades) that are at my school maybe 1 or 2 will go to an Ivy, and only about 55% will go to college at all
We have 4 real AP classes and them some classes where they say college instead of AP so as to not intimidate students.....
Im in the only AP available to Sophomores (Euro) AND out of 520 Sophs only 7 are taking AP
luckily we don't have midterms (except in Euro) and our finals usually raise everyones grades lol
I want to go to college for IR/IA (hopefully to Tufts/Cornell/Georgetown) w/minor in French
Sophomore year is definetely harder than freshman year but Junior year is the worst (since senior year at my school is gym, foods, and intros to (insert random subject here) ) I'll have like 3 APs + 3 honors classes Junior year :(

lol that was probably tmi, but yeah don't ever move to MO when there are so many better places to live in the US

^Ugh, that sucks. I'm sorry you're not in an environment where you're really challenged; I know how that feels.

SAT next fall, probably October. Maybe SAT II Chem this June, if I feel confident enough despite my lack of AP Chem.
