Sophomore Transfer Chances to USC Marshall or Cornell AEM?

Hi there,

I'm a freshman right now at a pretty highly ranked school, Notre Dame, and I'm not too comfortable with the religious/super conservative environment here and would like to transfer to USC Marshall or Cornell AEM for next year and was wondering what my odds of getting in look like. My prospective concentration is entrepreneurship.

If it matters, senior year in HS I applied RD to Marshall and was accepted (parents pressured me to go to ND even though I didn't want to) and was rejected from Cornell AEM (also RD).

Here are my high school/misc stats:

White male from upstate NY

SAT: 2270/1560 superscore- 800 CR; 760 M; 710W

GPA: 3.96 unweighted

Courseload: AP US (5), AP World (5), AP Lit (4), AP Stat (5), AP Euro Hist (5, self-studied)

AP Calc BC (3), AB subscore (4)

Also received the IB Diploma

EC's:

Founder and manager of my own eBay-based business selling supplements for the past 2yrs, Power Seller and Top rated seller. Reason behind my major of entrepreneurship, will be the subject of my EC short essay

Internship at a non-profit regional advocacy group for 5wks this past summer, wrote comparative analysis of differing state policies for grants for historic renovation projects

Internship at a small online-based electric supply retailer during 11-12th grades. Strategized expansion plan into alternative eCommerce platforms

Entrepreneurship Training Program at a local university during junior year of HS- won 3rd in a business plan competition

Entrepreneurship Society (club here at Notre Dame)

Polish Club at ND

In high school- Masterminds (Trivia competition)- won state championship one year, was team captain

College so far

Took both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics at a local public university over the summer and received A's in both.

1st sem (all 100lvl classes):

Philosophy-A
Calc 1 (did not get credit with a 4 in AB)- B+
Theology- B
Psychology- B
Astronomy- A

First semester GPA: 3.47

GPA with the 2 summer courses added in: 3.62

Second semester- predicted midterm grades

History of Modern Philosophy, 300lvl- predicted A-/B+
Intro to the 1st Amendment 200lvl (should fulfill 2nd semester of English requirement)-
predicted A
Fashion Seminar, 100lvl- predicted B
Ecology- predicted A
Business Law 200lvl- predicted A-/B+

I also added a note under the additional info part of the Common app that if the 1st amendment class does not fulfill the 2nd semester of Writing requirement, I will take a sophomore level English class at my local university over the summer, and will also take about 2 more recommended courses (bio and public speaking), so that I will enter with around 60 credits between AP's, ND and outside credits

Thanks for reading and let me know what my odds are and what I could do to improve them!

Any opinions?

Nobody???

I think you have a really high chance of getting into Marshall.

your GPA is around the average, but considering your EC’s it seems like it’ll set you higher than most of the other applicants
