I’m a freshman at William Peace University, a small liberal arts school in Raleigh, and I’m planning on applying to NC State as a sophomore in Fall 2018. I intend on applying to the college of humanities and social sciences.
Stats:
SAT 1230 (650 reading, 580 math)
Likely college GPA of 3.6
Weighted high school GPA of 3.4
Unweighted high school GPA of 2.8
I’ll have 31 transferable credit hours by the end of freshman year. This year I’m taking History 201, COM 101 (Public Speaking), First Year Seminar (non-transferable), PSC 201 (American Government), PSC 202 (State & Local Government), BIO 101, Mat 202 (Finite Math), ENG 112, BSA 160 (Global Business Environment) and PSC 280 (Public Policy). I’ll also be able to transfer 3 hours from my AP Human Geography credit.
I’m a member of several clubs and I frequently volunteer with community service organizations. In sophomore year of high school, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder, which inhibited my ability to get good grades. Would NCSU take this into consideration when reviewing my application?
