sophomore vs junior PSAT scores

If you took the PSAT in your sophomore and junior years, did your scores rise (and by how much), drop, or stay about the same?

sophomore year - 1210
junior year - 1360
final sat: 1470

Sophomore Year - 195/1370
Junior Year - 217/1390
SAT - 1510 (so far...)

I stayed the same from 10-11 grades, a 1370.

My first SAT score was 1440.

i went from 201 to 216 with no real studying.

not exactly what you're asking but here:
freshman yr: 201
soph: 219
junior: I'll know in december!

Sophomore year: 70 V 55 M (1250) 62 W: 187
Junior year: 78 V 69 M (1470) 77 W: 224
SAT: 770 V 660 M (1430)
Projected for October test (800 V 780 M)

I studied a good bit for the Junior year PSAT and for the recent SAT.

Sophomore year: 175 practice, 195 real
Junior year: 223 practice, hopfully about that reall!!!!

I dint study that much more
its just natural increase, especially in math- ive become more carful

Sophomore year: Forgot the practice score, but 228 real.
Junior year: 240 practice score, but 223 real (I know, what the heck happened here...).

SATI: 1560 (took it once), SATII Writing: 800

Hey, go figure. Oh well, Natl Merit is Natl Merit :).

I don't remember what I got exactly for sophomore year, but somewhere around 210. Junior year I got 231 and on the SAT I got 1580.

It seems like all those that took the psat their sophomore year increased 200+ pts. To all those who dramatically increased like this what did you do to prepare? How did you increase your vocab and learn todo all the different types of problems. The test seems difficult, but it seems possible to get a good score how should I go about doing so.

I never studied for the PSAT, but I was studying for the SAT I (took it in december after PSAT in october) so of course that helps. Umm, I didn't learn that much vocab, but certain tricks like filling in your own answer for sentence completion or not reading the critical reading passages really help.

I took the new SAT in 7th and 8th grades for some program

7th grade: 1510
8th grade: 1530

great increase haha

for the sophomore PSATS i forgot what I got..
I beat 90 percent of juniors
but im so angry I didn't finish any of the math questions..but I got all of the ones I did correct...ugh :p

soph. 205
junior 222

17 point increase

lmao. this is a christmast miracle for me.

sophomore yr: 184
junior: 2224

really dunno wat happened, i mean, i guess i took things more seriously? and practiced ****load more? but 40 pt increase. there. so dont be bummed by your sophomore year PSAT like I was and had my parents screaming at my back saying how stupid I was. Try your best on everything

sry, i mean “224” not “2224” lol

sophomore year: 183
junior year: 222

Big change

In 2009, according to CollegeBoard, the average junior score on the PSAT was 14.6 points higher than the average sophomore score.
