Sophomore year - Stafford loans...need anything other that FAFSA?

I am submitting the FAFSA for my son's sophomore year in a few days. (His dad owes him a W-2 and is not grasping my need for this form - I am sooo ****ed at him but that is another story!!) I sseem to remember that last year in addition to the FAFSA we had to do a Profile on Collegeboard.com - and pay a fee of course. Is that required after the initial year? I was thinking that all we needed was the FAFSA each year now. If it matters, we do have Stafford Loans...and we need them each year.

Well, I think I have answered my own question. The only reason we had to do the collegeboard PROFILE was that one (or more) of the colleges we applied to required it. The college my son in now in, did not, and there is no need to fill out that darn thing again…thank goodness! Just the FAFSA, and it’s done!
