I'm a sophomore in the best high-school in our country and aiming for Ivy League, probably Brown or Columbia. My grades have been fine these years, but nothing special - each year we have to take 12 - 14 subjects and my grades so far have been in the range of 7-10, mostly 8 an 9. But this year they are up to 9 and 10 only. Is the fact that I didn't have perfect grades in my freshman year going to hurt my chances a lot? I am on the top 10% of my class, anyway.

Same question about EC's. Is it too late to get involved? There are things I want to do anyway, and I will, but until now I have been slacking off. I just want to know if I still have a chance at these schools.

Thanks!
