I’m a current freshman and this is my projected schedule:
Advanced Algebra 2
Advanced English
AP World History
Chinese 3
Chemistry
Art (of some sort, not sure yet)
There is no advanced available for Chinese, but there is Advanced Chemistry. I thought I would take one regular class so I would not have too much pressure. And my school doesn’t really offer electives
Could you fit advanced chemistry in your schedule? So this would be your sophomore year correct? Are you thinking about taking AP Chem? What do you want to major in?
You’re fine taking regular Chemistry.
Remember that top colleges will expect 5 core classes every year (English, Math, Foreign Language, Science, Social Science), with doubling up allowed jr/sr years and ‘Level4 or Ap’ counting as “4 years of Foreign Language” regardless of how long it took you to get there, 7 academic periods if possible (if you have 8 periods with lunch/6 academic periods if you have 7 with lunch) plus for future stem students (or Top 25 hopefuls), one each of chemistry, bio, physics, + 1 AP Science from the three.
