Sororities and Drinking

My daughter is interested in joining a sorority and she doesn't drink. At least not yet anyway. Would it be a problem to be in a sorority and not drink or just minimally?

it shouldnt be for most sororities... sororities don't have any pledge period (well they do, but they just give gifts and hang out with their sisters) so it's not a big deal.

There's a chance that your daughter will have started drinking by the time second semester comes around anyway, and im guessing you know this since you added "not yet".

Hope this helps!

I am a freshman who joined a sorority this semester, and it honestly has been one of the best experiences ever. You will never be excluded from social events or feel like you don't fit in even if you don't drink. I guess I can only speak for my sorority but from what I've heard from my friends who are in other chapters, the drinking issue is definitely not a problem and your daughter really shouldn't stress about it if she is thinking of joining one.
