What are the reputations of the different chapters?
when is rush?
Which are the best houses?
Who mixes with who?

I went through rush last year and got a pretty good feel for all of the sororities. I ended up joining a secret society so I didn’t take a bid, but here is my spin on things. - Hope it helps! =)

Tri-Delt (Delta Delta Delta) - Snobby, blonde, not much going on upstairs. Definitely the high school cheerleaders that never grew up. They don’t have the best reputation on campus and unfortunately this pervades their sorority nationally.

Sigma Kappa - The Tri-Delt rejects. They were hotter when they started (all of the girls that didn’t get bids from Tri-Delt joined SK) but recent pledge classes have been less attractive. Still known for being nice, pretty, parties less than Tri-Delt.

Chi Omega - Pretty like Sigma Kappa and fun like AXO. Known to be the nice girls that like to go out. Seemed to have a tight sisterhood and have mixers with good frats.

Apha Phi - Nice but a little awkward. Not as pretty as SK or Chi Omega, but still decent. These girls are very involved on campus, seem very happy & upbeat - mixers with okay frats.

Phi Sigma Sigma - They don’t have the best nickname, but their sisterhood is strong and the girls are all very close. Fairly unattractive.

Alpha Chi Omega - A lot of athletes, known to be big beer drinkers. Party and have a good time - more of your “tough” girls than the super girly ones. Mixers with good frats.

Theta - Cocaine. That’s all they do & that’s all I know. Think black boots & leather - think clubbing downtown.

Sigma Delta Tau (SDT) - Heavily Jewish sorority. Very nice girls but a little gaudy & jappy. Apparently there are only a handful of non-jewish girls and the mixers tend to be with primarily jewish frats.
