I’m thinking about rushing next year, and I couldn’t find a recent thread about this, so I was wondering what the current reputations of some of the sororities at Penn are. Is there one that’s known to be only party-oriented or only school-focused. Like most people, I would like a mix of both. Looking at some of the websites, Chi O seems pretty cool, but it’s hard to distinguish different sororities without hearing from people who actually interact with them. Thanks!
You should probably just wait until you’re at Penn and are able to meet women in each sorority. I’d trust that a lot more than what people on College Confidential would say. I’d definitely trust that a lot more than what the websites say.
Keep in mind that Penn sororities have > 150 members, so you’d likely be able to find a core group you get along with well.
(I was in a fraternity at Penn.)
This is the most recent thread that I remember.
In reality they each have a different feel, and that feel changes over time, so @KeasbeyNights probably has the best idea, but perhaps this may provide something useful. Additionally, current students may have thoughts about how they perceive this assessment as accurate or inaccurate.
