sororities/greek life at case

Hi all!

If I go to case western, I really want to do a sorority.
I feel that it will really let me meet a bunch of people, and have fun too (since case isn't typically known as the funn school)

However, my mom is really afraid that they're be hazing and underage drinking. The comparison for sororities are those at UIUC (our family friend didn't have the best experience there).

but i'm tryingg to explain to her how case western sororities would be different. they'd be fun, but much more grounded and responsible.

any pledges/sorority members who could tell me about sorority life here :)

I visited a few days ago, and talked extensively with a few people attending case. They all said in by no means is the greek life like most houses. They said a lot of the houses are big on community service and only one of the houses is the typical frat house. I was asking about frats, but i would assume soroities would be the same

yeah that’s what I’ve been hearing about case’s sororities and frats. this kinda makes me wanna join them more if I go to case western :)

The No-hazing at Case is strictly, strictly enforced. Sororities are also dry, and if anyone is ever caught drinking in the house, the whole sorority goes under review.

They are also really big on community service and sisterhood. Not so much on getting drunk and having sex.

Case publishes grade reports for the frats and sororities every semester.

Very impressive if you ask me.
