Sorority help

Keep an open mind - yes!
Deciding to only accept bids from “certain” sororities is a recipe for disaster.

But getting into a sorority with a 2.3? The only way would be if the candidate had some kind of personal connection, and it had better be an iron-clad one. While panhellenic suggests a 3.0 as a minimum for pledging, many chapters look for candidates with higher than that - much higher. Think 3.5, with only a few under that because of other considerations.

Again, you may have great grades and activities and a ton of sorority relatives, but so do 1,999 other PNMs.

i kind of doubt the 2.3 thing, too. has it happened ever? probably. is that the norm? no!

do people with 2.3s even get into college?

Not in todays competitive world of college acceptance!!! 2.3 = jr college.
Not even easy peasy public universities will a 2.3 get you in.

Everybody rushing has decent GPA’s and extracurriculars, so as long as you have some, you’re good. The conversations you have with the girls during rush are what you need to focus on and what will really matter when it comes down to it.
