Sorority Life

Wha are the best sororities on campus? What are the stereotypes for each ones. what are the ones to stay away from and what are the most fun? What do you do being in one?

I'm going to get **** for giving this to you, but these are the stereotypes:
gamma phi--- 2nd rate sluts
tri-delt--- cool sluts
alpha chi-- cool liberals
delta gamma-- party sorority. coke problem
theta-- hard to get into. "the best one"
kappa kappa Gamma-- rich snobs
dz-- dorky,
chi omega --used to be dorky, maybe changing image
alpha phi- theater girls, really cool, not that into it.

keep in mind that I'm just a freshman, so this is all just what other people told me. I realize that these stereotypes are ridiculously offensive, and that obviously all the girls in the house don't fit under them. But I've also independently heard these same stereotypes from many different people, which has led me to conclude that these are believed campus wide.

My advice: rush, try to keep an open mind, and hopefully you'll find a house you'll fit into and they will want you back. That's my plan.

lol. pretty accurate but i dunno about chi omega's image changing all that much ... they still seem pretty dorky to me.

but yeah, the three 'elite' sororities are theta, kappa and tridelt, followed probably by delta gamma and alpha phi.

I'm sorry for anyone who read the stereotypes I posted and were offended by them. They aren't mine, they were passed on to me which means that I should not have posted them online.
40% of NU is greek which means you'll find all types of people in every house.
I would delete my post if I could, but I can't, so all I can do is apologize. It was not my intent to hurt anyone.

Are there any Af Am sororities or racially integrated sororities on campus?

There are four African-American sororities...I'm definitely planning on rushing them:

Alpha Kappa Alpha
Delta Sigma Theta
Sigma Gamma Rho
Zeta Phi Beta
