I want some info on all the sororities if someone doesn't mind! Thanks! :)

heeeelp please

You may get a response from a non sorority member but at most schools a member of a sorority can get themselves and their chapters in trouble for having any contact with a potential member prior to rush…it’s one of a number of things called “dirty rushing” and is frowned upon.

You will be visiting all the houses during recruitment. Why don’t you go in with no preconceived notions and just see which houses make you feel at home?

When is rush at UNC …and is it the same for guys and girls?

If you don’t mind sharing, PM me too.

Or just give me any advice about rush at UNC. Anything would be helpful.

This should get you started:

[Fraternity & Sorority Life - Home](http://greeks.unc.edu/)

I understand about not being able to get a true feel until I rush…but I was wondering about any reputations the sororties might have recieved? Some stereotypes or judgments that other sorority members or fraternity members or even non-greek members at UNC have heard?

Thanks eadad, but I’ve already looked at that page sooo many times, haha. The sorority I’m most interested in right now is Alpha Chi Omega, one of my friends in an Alpha Chi at a different school, and I had coffee with her a few weeks ago to get some insight, but I know that every school is different.

My D is an Alpha Chi at another school as well…;)

Don’t know much about UNC chapter…I’ll see if she knows anything. Where does your friend go to school?

She goes to UNCG.

In all honesty, the reputations and the experiences in each sorority/fraternity change with the particular individuals in the organization at the time you are there. I would honestly suggest you go in with an open mind and see which one feels most comfortable. It is really about where you feel you fit in best since you will spend a lot of time together over the 4 years. The “reputation” won’t make the experience for you. You might miss out on being with a truly great group if you focus on status and reputations of the past.
