<p>Sorry I am posting this here, you can ignore it if you want, but nobody responded in the Chances forum. Chances for Stanford -</p>

<p>Applied EA, white female from prestigious prep school that doesn't have ties on the west coast (but does on the east coast). Major = Chemistry, Poli Sci, Biochem.</p>

<p>UW GPA 3.97 (this was top GPA last year, 2nd best this year but we don't rank. Just to give you an idea ppl with 3.5 and sometimes less get into ivies). 1500 SAT (770 verbal 730 math) SAT 2s: Chem 800, Spanish 780, Writing 770, Math 2C 760)</p>

<p>We don't have AP classes but I took 3 APs last yr (Chem, Spanish, Eng Lang) and got 5s on all. This year I'm taking these APs (the classes have different names but they basically are AP classes) Calc BC, Physics C, Spanish Lit. I am also taking a Creative Writing class and Independent Studio Art (for advanced art students). I'm trying to make this short so ppl will read it lol.</p>

tutor for underprivileged kids (9-12, two hours every single Sat. morning; I also did it over the summer)

diversity club (9-12, leader in 10th grade)</p>

main thing is I have done lab research for the past two summers (40 hrs/wk) but have never published anything.</p>

<p>You have a very good chance at acceptance, though with a 13% acceptance rate Stanford rejects quite a few talented students.</p>

<p>I also think you've got a good shot, but with Stanford's less than generous admit rate, don't ignore your RD apps!</p>

<p>Stanford, and all the other prestigious schools are very random, like i have seen a guy that had a 1580,4.0,awesome ecs being rejected, and a guy who had like a 1300,3,5,ok ecs being accepted.</p>

<p>I would assume that you have a great shot, but dont get your hopes up...Just write brilliant essays, get awesome recs, and i would say that you have a VERY good chance of getting in.</p>
