Hi, I'm a girl applying for Huntsman 2014 ED, and I know I have an incredibly slim chance, but any input/advice would be great. I am pretty shy about posting my stats on here for the sake of anonymity, so I was wondering if I could PM anyone? Thanks in advance!

And my other question: I read somewhere that if you get rejected from Huntsman ED, but you get into CAS or Wharton RD, you automatically have to go there? Is this true, or am I just being confused?

in response to your question, if you apply ED and put down a single-degree option (either CAS or wharton) and you are rejected huntsman but accepted either CAS or wharton, then u must attend. if u dont want a binding single degree, apply only for huntsman and dont put down a single degree option, and i believe u will be then considered for RD if not acceptd to huntsman ED

Hi Shallarock, I am keen on Huntsman 2011. Can you let me know, what is the average % of internationals in a Huntsman class and what are the chances for interntionals getting in if one is asking for financial aid.

Surprisingly, it’s fairly difficult to say the percentage of internationals at Huntsman. That’s largely because it’s not simple to define international. We do have many students who were born and raised outside the US (in various countries, sometimes multiple ones), but we also have many who, for example–
Are American citizens but have always lived abroad or have lived abroad for a large portion of their lives with American parents
Are not Americans but have lived in America all their lives
Who just live all over the place and don’t really think of any one country as “home”
And then of course those who are just from America.

That being said, there are a lot of internationals in the program. It’s meant to be that way. We’re talking unquestionably more than 30% and looking at more like half, maybe more, maybe less, depending on your class year and how you define “international”.

Financial aid is an interesting question, and that’s not Huntsman’s domain in particular but rather Penn’s. I do know that Penn does not guarantee financial aid for international students (I do not know if it is need-blind for internationals) and so that is a question best directed towards Undergraduate Admissions or the Office of Financial Aid, who will answer your questions about that better than I can. I can tell you that there are internationals who get scholarships–I know at least two personally, one of whom is in Huntsman.
