Sorry, Another Deferred Thread..My Chances?

I just got a defferal letter today asking for mid year grades. I did a pre-admit to Ross but obviously I have no clue. Could you please gauge my chances on getting in?

-I attend the #1 highschool in illinois
- 29 ACT score 8 Writing
-4.5 GPA W, 3.6 UW
-Will Graduate With a Total of 6 AP's
-All AP or Honors Classes in HS
-200 Service Hours
-3 Year Member of Basketball Team, 1 Year of Track and Field
-Various Clubs

Thank you in advance...

Oh also I am OOS if that helps

You already know your result, you get deferred. We don't know what else to tell you without you giving us any updated info. that you are also sending to UMich (i.e. 1st semester grades, more ECs, etc.)

howd you send more EC's?

You can attach a letter along with your update transcript of anything else they need to know I believe..

Well on my original transcript it said 30 service hours and this one will say 200. Also I will send them an extra rec and my mid year grades kept my GPA at 4.5 W . Im just wondering if I will be accepted even after being deffered.

You seem fairly well qualified. One thing you didn't mention was your class rank. The deferral could be because there is an unusually high number of applicants from your school and they want midyear grades to make their final decisions (purely speculative).

I'd say you're a reach for Ross though.

Our school has eliminated class rank so I couldn't particularly send that out. Yeah Ross is a reach, I'm just hoping to get into the school right now.

you know....it doesn't really matter which high school in illinois u go to....cuz the rankings are so stupid...my school is perhaps, i think, the #1 school in illinois based on our academic competitions and stuff, so school rank doesn't matter.
u probably need to improve your act

oh i definetly agree that school rankings mean nothing really. But I'm hoping it gives me some benefit when the admissions officers look at the application.
