Sorry another one of these threads...

So I need some college ideas:

I have been at all private schools for high school, except for the first 6 months of being a freshman (all college prep schools)

This year I started taking 3 Honors classes because the schools I went to before did not offer honors or AP, but I may take some AP classes next year

GPA is about a 3.3

My grades have been fluctuating: Freshmen was 3.2 Sophomore was 3.0, Junior is about a 3.2.

150-200 Hours of community service

Not many EC's although I did start a club my freshman year.

Haven't taken the SAT yet, but my PSAT was 1280. I am aiming for a 1400 or 1500.

Not sure what I want my major to be yet

I'm a vegan (not sure if it matters but it shows I'm committed to something)

I want to go to school in the east coast, preferably Oregon or Cali. Either that or school in New York City. (want more vegans)

Thanks, and tell me if you need any more info

EDIT: I have been to lots of countries: Bahamas, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Israel, and may be going to China. It was for vacation, but I hear it helps

How much can your parents pay?

Forgot one of the most important parts :P. Don’t like to brag, but we are pretty well off. The main concern is me being admitted. We can pay for almost any college

Whew! But do point your parents to the Financial Aid Forum just in case things go sour along the way!

In the Parents Forum, there are any number of threads for students in the “B” range. Here are a few that I could find quickly.

THanks. Any other ideas?

I want some other opinions

Is your 1280 in two areas of SAT or 3?

I think 3 but I am not positive

*I’m a vegan *
…you do know that vegan/vegetarian are on the list of 4 or 5 personal statement topics to avoid, yes? Usually, it’s : death, failed romance, arrest, v/v and Harry Potter.

Even more seriously, don’t pick a college locale (OR, CA, NYC) based on vegan. Find the possibilities for your stats first, then look into the food. Seriously, so many schools all over the country have vegan choices. Or, google vegan colleges and then see what your stats might allow.
