Sorry..but chances for UCB?

UC GPA: 3.75
UC uncapped: 3.92
..big upward grade trend..went from 3.0 uw freshman year to 3.8 uw junior year
..most difficult schedule possible given the classes offered at my school..

AP scores
US history and Physics C(Mech.)-3
CalcBC, ABsubscore, Physics(E&M)-2

SATs
SATI (UC sat score one sitting)-2040 (680 cr 680 m 680 w)
SATII Math 2c- 790
SATII Chem- 640 arrghh

ECs
-I'm one of the "better" pianists of CA, if u do the MTAC Convention stuff I made Panel Honors, which is only awarded to 33 people statewide (150+ppl try for it i think).
i've also placed in a bunch of other competitions before; so mostly my app focuses on music. i guess im tryina "sell" myself as a musician..
(I'm also submitting a recording to the upper-tier UCs and the private schools i'm applying to)
-i volunteer at a nursing home, and i give hourly solo piano performances twice a month..hopefully this is an "unique" extracirricular.
-i've volunteered at a museum (Tech Museum of Innov.) for a year or so..exhibit explainer for the most part, i suppose. in essays, i made it sound like i gained a love for science from volunteering (it did actually)
-ive been an assistant basketball coach for a year (9th)

Clubs:
CSF-2 years
FBLA-4 years; placed in State Leadership Conf. before

Essays:
one was on how i learned from my chemistry teacher how hard work was required to gain success in whatever u do(hence the upward grade trend). the other was about volunteering at the senior center home, and how i hope to continue doing music. the other was about taking classes outside of school etc...i think my personal statement is decent but if i could change it i would..but im sure thats the same with all of us

i'm doing undeclared-letters and science.

i made a thread in the chances forum but since UCB is actually my top choice i thought i might as well post here as well. don't worry this'll be the only time i post a chances thread in here.

thanks!

How well does your school do at UCB? I'd say your chances are good, and particularly so if your school places well.

around 20-25 ppl a year get into UCB at my school every year i believe..also, there are a lotta ppl i know that are def. qualified for UCB that dont apply cuz they dont wanna go there

Your chances are good. Now, just wait, relax, and enjoy life. Oh yeah, do well in school, too.

you are a pretty good match. GPA is slightly below average but your E.C.'s are simply outstanding. SAT's look solid. I'd say match, if your essays are good..

thanks for the replies, im def. breathing a bit easier now lol

this is weird; cuz im getting much diff. responses in the what are my chances forum...hopefully you guys are more accurate haha

Could someone summarize my chances? Also, could you please indicate if you're a high schooler or UCB student or UCB grad? Thanks.

My essays are trash. They don't have any spelling or grammar errors, and they answer the questions, but they are poorly written (I wrote them all at 11:00 pm 30 Nov). Do think my scores can offset them?

SAT: CR 720 M 800 W 750
SAT MathII: 800
SAT Physics: 800
12 APs with 4s and 5s

GPA UW: 4.0 with toughest courseload possible

ECs: Lots of inconsequential clubs, primarily those associated with gaming (chess, scrabble, connect four, bridge, etc...)
Boy Scouts - Life scout, 200 hours community service, 100 nights camped

I'm not a California resident but I would get the state tuition because both of my parents pay taxes to California.

I don't even know why I'm writing this. I'll get in or I won't and asking a bunch of equally uniformed (no offence to those who are) is kind of pointless.

Slorg, first, make your own thread.
Second, you have 2320 SAT I, 800 800 on SATII's, 4.0 UW and 12 AP's
Why do you even bother to ask for "chances"?

slorg ur in no matter what pretty much...its people like me that have to worry about gettin into berkeley haha
